Eleven Student Films from Savannah Arts Academy Selected for All American High School Film Festival

Eleven student produced films from Savannah Arts Academy have been selected for inclusion in this year’s All American High School Film Festival.  The festival is held in October each year in New York City and is the largest high school film festival in the world.

The films were selected by a panel of industry judges from among thousands of submissions from around the world.  They will be screened before a live audience during the competition weekend October 18th - 20th at the AMC theater in Times Square.

Savannah Arts Academy had more films accepted into the festival than any other city in the state of Georgia and among the highest in the nation.  View the student films at the links below.

"Low Country Fishin" by Angelina Jessica Plowe from Pooler, GA

Two students form an underground illegal candy-selling operation and enter the dark world of organized school crime. When things move to fast and get sloppy, one begins to suspect the other of being a rat.

The newest intern at Life, LLC finds that the head of his department, Death himself, has quit. He must race to bring Death back before the office collapses in on itself.

"Vladimir Kulochegov" by Constantin Strother, Kennedy Reid from Savannah, GA for Savannah's 48 Hour Film Project

A film crew takes us inside the mind of a Vladimir Kulochegov, one of the most original artists of our time.

All Official Selections are eligible to be nominated for an award. All award nominees and winners will be announced at the Teen Indie Awards on Sunday, October 20th at The Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, NY.
