Junior League of Savannah Celebrates 'Find the Good Day' by Supporting Local Educators
Wednesday, September 25th, 2024
The Junior League of Savannah has encouraged the community to create meaningful change during the second annual Find the Good Day! Held on September 19th, Find the Good Day encourages community members to come together to spread kindness, uplift others, and inspire hope.
This year, the Junior League of Savannah took action by selecting five exceptional local educators and fulfilling their classroom wish lists, donating over $750 worth of supplies to the honorees. These contributions are intended to enrich the learning environment for local students, providing essential tools and resources for success. The teachers recognized for their dedication and impact on our community include:
-
Elizabeth Roberts – St. Andrew’s School (Chatham County)
-
Laura Gift – St. Andrew’s School (Chatham County)
-
Courtney Zidow – May Howard Elementary (Chatham County)
-
Vicki Lincoln – Oatland Island Wildlife Center Nature Pre-K (Chatham County)
-
Katelyn McCarthy – Blandford Elementary (Effingham County)
Additionally, a partnership with Kendra Scott made it possible for Savannah residents to shop for a cause. A percentage of sales from the popular jewelry brand’s event on Find the Good Day went directly to the Junior League of Savannah, bolstering their mission to create lasting community impact.
