STEM Academy at Bartlett Once Again Awarded Apple Distinguished School Designation

The STEM Academy @ Bartlett has once again been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for 2024–2027 for its use of technology including a 1:1 iPad program and integration of apps across the curriculum to create a culture of innovation and academic achievement to create a culture that transcends break and mortar to digital territories and beyond.

Apple Distinguished Schools are centers of innovation, leadership, and educational excellence that use technology to inspire creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. They showcase innovative uses of technology in learning, teaching, and the school environment and have documented results of academic accomplishment.

The selection of The STEM Academy as an Apple Distinguished School highlights the school's success as an innovative and compelling learning environment that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic achievement. The mission of The STEM Academy @ Bartlett creates an environment of engagement, exploration, and problem solving for students. Technology and apps help facilitate the type of learning established through this vision.

Part of the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, The STEM Academy @ Bartlett is a choice middle school serving sixth through eighth grade students. The school is certified as a Georgia STEAM middle school and has been recognized as a Lighthouse School to Watch by The National Middle School Association. 

The school was first recognized for the honor in 2016-18.  It has been renewed every three years since that time.
