SouthCoast Health, a medical leader across the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry, welcomes board-certified internal medicine specialist Dr. Kayla D. Poe to its growing team of medical experts. Dr. Poe is now seeing new patients at SouthCoast Health’s Pooler campus located at Godley Station Professional Park, 1000 Towne Center Blvd., building 1200.

Dr. Poe practices the full range of internal medicine with a special concentration on geriatrics. “I chose internal medicine because I wanted to focus on the adult and older population,” Dr. Poe explains, “who I feel often don’t receive the care they deserve.”

Dr. Poe earned her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine, followed by an internal medicine residency at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. Her second internal medicine residency took place at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. Dr. Poe is a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP) and the Georgia Medical Society.

With the addition of Dr. Poe, SouthCoast Health has more than 120 healthcare providers on staff, allowing a breadth of care under one banner and an immense amount of convenience for new and current patients.

“I love working alongside my patients to personalize their care plans to ensure they meet their health goals and receive the best care possible,” says Dr. Poe.
