Fluid Aesthetics & Wellness, a wellness enhancing medical spa located at 7370 Hodgson Memorial Drive, received the 2024 New Business of the Year award at the Greater Savannah Black Chamber of Commerce Black Business Excellence Gala at the Armstrong Center on November 1st.

Fluid Aesthetics and Wellness owner, Laveda Farrior shares, “After 9 years in family care as a primary care provider, I made the difficult decision to open my own medical practice. This past year posed a triple challenge as I balanced being a single mother, self funded my first medical spa and undertook an extensive interior renovation of my new location on Hodgson Memorial. Being recognized by my community for my efforts and enhancing client, well-being and achieving remarkable business growth has been a surreal experience. I am both stunned and elated.”

“When choosing the 2024 winner for the New Business of the Year, we were looking for a groundbreaking startup that has demonstrated exceptional innovation, growth and impact in a short period of time. This award celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and vision of a new business that is shaping the industry landscape and setting new standards for success. Along with her business development, Laveda checked all these boxes and is making a cultural contribution to our community,” states Greater Savannah Black Chamber of Commerce Gala Chair Zelonia
