GIS DAY Engages Local Students in STEM Curriculum in Celebration of National Geography Week

On Wednesday Nov. 13 approximately 150 local eighth grade students will participate in STEM curriculum at Jenkins High School. As a part of National Geography Week, the GIS Day Savannah Committee and SAGIS (Savannah Area Geographic Information System) will host the 18 th Annual GIS Day, where local students will participate in hands-on activities, including an Introduction to the Geographic Information Science course, the Jenkins Compass Course and the opportunity to meet a variety of local GIS professionals in the GIS Gallery.

The press is invited to attend the event from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Due to our generous sponsors, GIS DAY Savannah remains free of charge to students and teachers.
