2025 Southeast Georgia Leadership Forum Opens Scholarship Application Process

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Friday, December 20th, 2024

The Southeast Georgia Leadership Forum has opened the scholarship application process for the 2025 Forum to be held March 3-4, 2025 at Kehoe Iron Works at Trustees Garden.

To ensure the Forum includes emerging, established and diverse leaders from civic groups, non-profits, neighborhoods, government, and business, the Forum grants 50 scholarships each year so all community leaders have an opportunity to attend.

With its core mission being to include, listen, learn, act and grow, the Forum was founded to help our region address generational systemic poverty, isolated silos of community and communication, while moving the community forward towards excellence and growth opportunities for all.

The scholarship selection committee is composed of a diverse group of community volunteers who are interested in identifying leaders who would benefit from the forum but may not have the ability to afford the attendance fee. Applicants can be nominated by others or by self. The number of scholarships is limited and applications must be received by January 20, 2025.

Past Forums have had over 400 attendees each year, including a wide array of diverse leaders from civic groups, non-profits, neighborhoods, government, and business.  The  2025 Forum includes speaker presentations/regional tours, lunch each day, morning coffee/afternoon beverage/snack bars, and special events being held during the forum.

Major sponsors of the Forum include Georgia Southern University, Georgia Power, Georgia Power, Morris Multimedia and Gulfstream Aerospace.
