Convenience Store Decisions Honors Parker’s Kitchen VP of Financial Planning & Analysis

Parker’s Kitchen — an award-winning convenience store and food service company — is delighted to announce that Vice President of Financial Planning and Analytics John Rhine has been named to the Convenience Store Decisions40 Under 40 Leaders to Watch” list, which honors rising stars in the convenience store industry. Rhine and 39 other young professionals are currently featured in the December 2024 issue of Convenience Store Decisions, a highly respected convenience store industry publication.

“John is a brilliant financial strategist and an impressive team leader whose strategic planning has helped Parker’s Kitchen achieve explosive growth across Georgia, South Carolina and beyond,” said Parker’s Kitchen founder and CEO Greg Parker. “He is an asset to the convenience store community and a rising star in our industry.”

Each year, the Convenience Store Decisions staff reviews hundreds of nominations and selects 40 rising leaders to watch. Rhine and the other honorees enjoy access to exclusive events and networking opportunities and will be recognized at the CStore Connections conference in Charlotte, N.C. in March 2025 

As the Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at Parker’s Kitchen, Rhine uses data and analytics to mastermind long-term company, financial and organizational strategic plans. He is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring financial projections as well as cash flow modeling, tax planning, covenant compliance, capital structure and reporting activities. Rhine also supervises the company’s financial planning and analysis, procurement, business intelligence, asset management and warehousing operations.

Prior to joining Parker’s Kitchen in 2020, Rhine served as a Financial Analyst at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, Ga. and as a Senior Valuation and Transaction Analyst with Hancock Askew Advisors, LLC in Savannah. Ga. He is a U.S. Army veteran who earned the ranks of Sergeant and Squad Leader with the U.S. Army’s 1st Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment in Savannah, Ga.

Rhine has a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and a Bachelor of Business Administration from South University, summa cum laude, where he was a four-time President Award Recipient and Dean’s List Recipient. 


Active in the Savannah community, Rhine serves as a volunteer varsity coach for the Forest City Juniors, a youth shooting program for kids with a focus on skeet, sporting clays and trap shooting. He has also volunteered for the March of Dimes and Coastal Pet Rescue in Savannah and has supported additional charitable organizations through charity clay target shoots to benefit St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Benedictine Military School and many more. Originally from Fayetteville, Ark., Rhine currently resides in Rincon, Ga.
