The Georgia Economic Developers Association (GEDA) recognized Thomas & Hutton’s Principal and Marketing Manager, Cecilia Arango, CPSM, as Committee Chair of the Year. GEDA presented multiple awards, including Small Community Deal of the Year, Mid-Size Community Deal of the Year, Large Community Deal of the Year, the Rip Wiley Award for Professional Excellence, Committee Chair of the Year, and Committee Member of the Year. The Savannah Economic Development Authority and the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority generously sponsored the gala.

Cecilia is a Certified Professional Services Marketer and oversees the marketing, communications, culture-building, and community relations for Thomas & Hutton’s 10 regions in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. She earned her B.A. in English Communications and was honored with the 2023 Georgia Southern University Alumni Association’s George & Lucy Armstrong Award. Cecilia began her career at Thomas & Hutton as an intern in 2001 and upon graduation, transitioned full-time to the marketing department. Today, she leads company-wide marketing strategy and operations as the Marketing Manager.

Cecilia is an alumna of Leadership Georgia, Leadership Southeast Georgia, and Leadership Savannah. She is passionate about service to the community and currently serves on various boards and committees including United Way of the Coastal Empire Marketing Committee, Savannah Sports Council,
TEDxSavannah, Society of Marketing Professional Services, Leadership Southeast Georgia, Savannah
Book Festival, and the Georgia Economic Developers Association.
