Oliver Maner, one of Savannah's most distinguished law firms, presented a significant donation of essential items to Parker's House at Union Mission. Parker's House is the area's only facility dedicated to providing emergency housing and supportive services for unaccompanied women experiencing homelessness.

The donation drive, held throughout National Homelessness Awareness Month in November, collected a variety of essential items to support women in need. These included linens (pillows, sheets, bath towels), laundry supplies (detergent, dryer sheets), paper products (paper towels, toilet paper), cleaning supplies (Swiffer products, Lysol cleaners, disinfectant wipes), and undergarments (bras, underwear, undershirts).

"It's easy to take for granted the basic necessities that many of us have," said Oliver Maner Associate, Amelia Stevens. "This donation drive was a tangible way to show our commitment to helping women in need and to empower them to rebuild their lives and regain their independence. We were honored to partner with the Savannah community to support Parker's House and make a real difference."

Savannah-Chatham County has the second-highest rate of homelessness in Georgia. Parker's House offers emergency housing with supportive services for up to 32 women at a time. Partnering with residents, the program fosters personal, economic, and housing stability through a 90-day program.

Oliver Maner challenged the Savannah legal community and the public at large to join their drive. This initiative reflects the firm's long-standing commitment to supporting local non-profit organizations like Union Mission.
