Monday, December 2nd, 2024

Kathryn Drury Wagner has been named Editor in Chief at Savannah magazine.

She will oversee the bimonthly flagship publication, Savannah magazine, Savannah’s premier and award-winning city/regional magazine that covers our city’s culture, commerce and creative community. Wagner will also manage the quarterly Savannah HOMES magazine, which brings readers inside the area’s most beautiful and inspirational homes with departments devoted to collections, antiques, makers, designers, gardens and more, as well as the annual Southern Coastal Weddings, which offers an elevated and authentic view of the region’s wedding culture

“I’m thrilled to take the editorial reins at Savannah magazine,” Wagner said. “It’s a beautifully produced publication entering its 35th year. I can’t wait to help our readers make the most of living in our beautiful and dynamic city — especially now, when there are so many exciting changes happening here.”

Wagner has more than three decades of experience in publishing, having worked at city and regional titles (Honolulu magazine); special interest titles (Flea Market Décor); and at business, interior design and luxury lifestyle magazines. She has also worked as a project manager and in public relations. She is the author of two books and has a master’s degree in art history from SCAD. Wagner lives on Whitemarsh Island with her family.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kathryn as our Editor in Chief,” said Anita Hagin, Savannah magazine publisher. “With her deep curiosity and passion for uncovering the stories that make our historic city truly unique, Kathryn brings a fresh perspective that perfectly aligns with our mission. Her love for exploring the rich history and vibrant culture of our beautiful city will inspire our team to continue telling compelling, authentic stories that resonate with our community. We are excited as we head into our 35th year and look forward to producing creative and inspirational content that will surprise, entertain and inform our engaged audiences.”
