SouthCoast Health, a medical leader across the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry, welcomes pediatrician Dr. Rose Ruffo to its growing team of medical experts. Dr. Ruffo is now seeing new patients at SouthCoast Health Pediatrics located at 89 Interchange Drive, Suite B in Richmond Hill.

Dr. Ruffo practices the full spectrum of pediatrics, treating patients from infancy to young adulthood. “Being able to work with children and play a role in their health is truly such a privilege,” Dr. Ruffo explains. “I love having the opportunity to follow a child from infancy to adolescence. It is my goal to create meaningful, longstanding relationships with not only my patients, but also their families” 

Dr. Ruffo earned her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine, followed by a pediatrics residency at University of Alabama. She’s participated in research projects as well as co-authored presentations at medical conventions and symposiums. Dr. Ruffo is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

With the addition of Dr. Ruffo, SouthCoast Health has more than 120 healthcare providers on staff, allowing a breadth of care under one banner and an immense amount of convenience for new and current patients.

“I really love the preventative care component of pediatrics and the opportunity for youth empowerment,” Dr. Ruffo says, “providing education, encouraging healthy behaviors, and setting the tone for their future health. That’s really important to me.”
