Free Community Concert to be Held at Christ Church Episcopal Jan. 10
Thursday, January 9th, 2025
Christ Church Episcopal is slated to host a free concert, ’Hail, Gladdening Light’ from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10. This free event is open to everyone in the community and offers a chance to pause, reflect and reset to start the new year with purpose. This immersive concert will weave together live music, the warm glow of candlelight, and stunning visual projections to create a serene and reflective atmosphere and will take place at Christ Church Episcopal, located at 28 Bull Street, Savannah, GA 31401.
“It’s easy to feel down once the festivities fade and to feel stressed about what lies ahead in 2025,” said George Fergus, Musical Director of Christ Church Episcopal. “‘Hail, Gladdening Light’ is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and recharge for the year ahead, wherever your life may be headed.”
This immersive concert features Musica Atlantica, a professional choral ensemble whose members sing in some of the premier choral ensembles in the United States. While ‘Hail, Gladdening Light’ is not a worship service, it will take place in the beautiful sanctuary of Christ Church Episcopal, which was founded in 1733 as the first house of worship in the Georgia Colony and is known as “The Mother Church of Georgia.”
There is no charge for this concert, but space is limited so reservations are requested at: http://www.eventbrite.com/.../hail-gladdening-light....
