Live Oak Public Libraries and Hospice Savannah Partner to Present Community Aging in Place Series
Monday, January 6th, 2025
Live Oak Public Libraries and Hospice Savannah are excited to announce a year-long monthly series focused on aging in place, beginning in January 2025. These informative sessions are designed to educate and empower the community with valuable resources and insights for aging with dignity and support.
The series will kick off on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the Bull Street Library with an engaging presentation, “Hospice 101.” Ard James, Director of Business Development and Marketing for Hospice Savannah, will explore what hospice care entails, its many benefits, the importance of early consideration, and the additional services available to patients and families
Each month, a new topic will be presented, including caregiving strategies, CAPABLE (Community Aging in Place—Advancing Better Living for Elders), palliative care, and more. Sessions will take place every Tuesday at 10:30 AM across four library locations:
-
Bull Street Library
-
Hinesville Library
-
Garden City Library
-
Islands Library
All events are free and open to the public.
