Re:Purpose Savannah Announces New Executive Director Rikki Powers

Local nonprofit Re:Purpose Savannah (RPS) is excited to announce the recent hiring of Executive Director Rikki Powers. With almost two decades of experience in the nonprofit sector, Ms. Powers is well-equipped to make significant contributions in her new role at Re:Purpose. Ms. Powers will work to enhance community support and improve the organization's capacity to ensure long-term sustainability and effectiveness

Ms. Powers has an extensive background in executive leadership roles within the nonprofit sector in the United States, including her most recent position as CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern Nevada. During her tenure, she prioritized aligning the organization and its programs with the needs of the communities and families it served.

As the executive director of Re:Purpose Savannah, Ms. Powers is thrilled for the opportunity to collaborate with long-standing partners, community members, and stakeholders. She will work with the team to advance the organization’s mission and values in Savannah and beyond.

Re:Purpose Savannah is a woman-led and operated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that diverts materials from the landfill through the deconstruction of historic buildings in Savannah, GA. Re:Purpose Savannah captures and shares the value of historic structures through shared research and documentation of buildings, careful deconstruction and salvage of the architectural fabric of projects, and making goods available for reuse at their marsh-front lumber yard.
