Savannah Downtown Business Association Names Julie Wade as Board President

The Savannah Downtown Business Association (SDBA) proudly announces Julie Wade as its new Board President for the 2025–2027 term. Julie Wade, who leads Tharros Place and Wade Law and Consulting, succeeds past president Toby Browne of Comprehensive Business Partners. Julie Wade brings a wealth of experience and a longstanding commitment to the Savannah community. She has served the area through her work with Wade Law, her tenure on the Savannah-Chatham County School Board, her leadership at Park Place Outreach, and her role as Executive Director of Tharros Place.

“Local businesses are the heart of downtown Savannah,” Wade shared. “Together, we can continue to support and empower our local businesses to thrive, benefiting our downtown neighbors and visitors alike.”As Board President, Wade’s goals include expanding the reach, engagement, and impact of the SDBA. Advocacy will play a pivotal role under her leadership, with priorities including walking tour regulations, licensing and tax reforms, small business economic empowerment, and safety initiatives.The SDBA is set to host several key events:

● February 12: Networking Luncheon focusing on the needs of Black business owners in
downtown Savannah.

● February 27: Inaugural Savannah Culinary Festival at Kehoe Ironworks.

● March 13: "Business Behind the Scenes" St. Patrick’s Celebration at Wexford Pub.
