Union Mission has been awarded a $30,000 grant through the 2025 Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards® program. Nominated by Marshall Davis, Owner/Operator of the Godley Station and Pooler Chick-fil-A locations, funds will support the transformation and expansion of the Don & Kaye Kole Magdalene House, an Emergency Housing Program for homeless women and children, increasing program capacity from 6 to 8 family suites.
“Being nominated for the True Inspiration Awards is a testament to the impact and importance of our work at Union Mission,” said Michael Traynor, President & CEO of Union Mission. “This esteemed recognition celebrates Union Mission’s dedication to partnering with people to end their homelessness. Funding will help support our Magdalene House program to serve more than 10 additional mothers and 20-30 children annually.”
Union Mission is one of 56 True Inspiration Awards® grant recipients in 2025 that are receiving a collective $6 million from Chick-fil-A, Inc. To be selected, an organization must work to address a pressing issue in their community that aligns with one of Chick-fil-A’s corporate social responsibility priorities: Care for People, Caring for Others through Food, Caring for our Communities, and Caring for our Planet.
“Chick-fil-A is honored to invest in the impactful work of these incredible organizations that are creating meaningful change in their local communities,” said Brent Fielder, Vice President of Global Impact for Chick-fil-A, Inc. “From fighting hunger and providing educational opportunities to fostering environmental stewardship, these nonprofits are shining examples of what it means to care for others and have a positive influence on the world. We are inspired by their work and grateful to partner with them on this journey.”
