Nation's Premier Adult Soccer Tournament Comes to Savannah

The Beer City Cup, the Asheville-based adult soccer tournament series that is the largest of its kind in the country, is hosting its third annual event in Savannah.
March 1-2, 2025, at Jennifer Ross Soccer Complex; the Savannah event sold out in 2024, and this year will also feature a sold out 110 team events.
The 110 teams, spread across 13 different age divisions, will compete for $40K in cash prizes. Colorado, New Jersey, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Florida, Maryland, Virginia, Utah, Tennessee, Alabama, North and South Carolina and Georgia are all represented by teams, while individual players will travel from 35 States and 5 Countries. The players range from 18-70 years old.
An action-packed weekend features a round-robin style format on Saturday and continues with knockout-round play on Sunday. Games consist of two 25-minute halves and use an 8v8 format, which contributes to exciting play with increased scoring.
Over the course of the two-day event, teams are eliminated until Sunday afternoon, when only the finalists are left to compete for the cash prizes. Admission for spectators at the family-friendly event is free. Food and beer are available onsite to contribute to the festival-like atmosphere. The semifinals and finals take place from 12-6pm on Sunday, March 2nd.

The 3rd annual Savannah event showcases a Men’s Elite Division, which will be competing for $12-15,000 and 3 Premier Divisions (Women’s, Men’s and Coed) where teams will compete for a $5K cash prize. Two teams that have entered the “One Million Dollar Prize” soccer tournament are in the Beer City Cup Savannah field.
Panama Legends, who will be traveling from Panama City, Panama, have entered in the Over 50 Division. La Finta, Guayaquil, Ecuador will compete in the Over 30 Division. There are 6 teams in the Women’s Premier Division, ranging from Washington D.C. to Mexico.
With 16 teams, the Over 30 Division is the tournament’s largest. The tournament’s oldest age group is the Over 65 Division. Teams from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Cincinnati, Ohio, Indianapolis, Indiana and Atlanta, GA. Multiple Savannah, GA teams will also compete in the event.
