Parker’s Kitchen – a nationally acclaimed convenience store company and food service leader that was recently honored as a USA Today Top Workplace – hosted a special ribbon cutting on Feb. 25 to celebrate the grand opening of the company’s newest store in Richmond Hill, Ga. and presented a $20,000 Fueling the Community donation to Bryan County Schools.
Bryan County Schools Superintendent Dr. Paul Brooksher accepted the donation on behalf of students, teachers and staff. Local dignitaries in attendance included Richmond Hill Mayor Russ Carpenter, Bryan County President/CEO Summer Beal and Bryan County Commissioner Alex Floyd.
Ideally located at the intersection of Ford Avenue and Hwy. 17, the new Parker’s Kitchen serves the Bryan County community and is the company’s 98th store overall. The third Parker’s Kitchen in Richmond Hill features a new, hand-painted version of Richmond Hill’s iconic Iceberg Lettuce Label mural, which was recently repainted by the original artist, Chris Walker. Parker’s Kitchen commissioned Walker to recreate the mural, which references Richmond Hill’s agricultural past as well as Henry Ford's historic cultivation of iceberg lettuce.
“We love Bryan County and are deeply honored to open our third store in this amazing community and to give back to support students in Bryan County Schools,” said Parker’s Kitchen founder and CEO Greg Parker. “At Parker’s Kitchen, we want to be a great community partner, which is why we decided to repaint the iconic Richmond Hill lettuce mural that many local residents love.”
The new store is open 24 hours and serves fresh, Southern-inspired Parker's Kitchen food Monday through Friday from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
