Tuesday, February 11th, 2025
Savannah Ballet Theatre (SBT) is thrilled to announce the highly-anticipated return of their interpretation of ‘The Little Mermaid,’ with performances at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 28 and 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 29 at the Ben Tucker Theater in the Cultural Arts Center at 201 Montgomery Street. Rediscover Hans Christian Andersen’s 1837 original fairy tale through the beauty of ballet as a troubled mermaid heroine embarks on a journey between the divergent worlds of land and sea.
With captivating sets and costumes, the ballet creates a mesmerizing experience. Audiences will be transported into a magical world as SBT’s ‘The Little Mermaid’ explores themes of identity, alienation, love and sacrifice. Breathtaking underwater scenes contrast with the vibrant life on land, and the mermaid’s journey is highlighted through stunning visuals and dynamic choreography.
“It is such a delight to see ‘The Little Mermaid’ brought to life through the language of dance,” said Sue Braddy, Artistic Director of SBT. “The passion and dedication of our dancers radiate in every movement and transform the performance into a storytelling experience that speaks to the heart.”
General Admission to ‘The Little Mermaid’ is $35. To purchase tickets for the March 28 and March 29 performances, please visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/savannah-ballets-the-little-mermaid-tickets-1217274012339?aff=oddtdtcreator.
