Ex-Augusta National Employee Gets 1 Year in Prison for Theft of Arnold Palmer Green Jacket, Masters Memorabilia

A former employee of Augusta National Golf Club was sentenced to a year in prison after admitting to stealing millions of dollars in Masters tournament memorabilia, including an Arnold Palmer green jacket, according to the Associated Press.

Richard Globensky, 39, will also have to pay more than $3 million in restitution and face one year of supervised release after pleading guilty to one count of transporting stolen goods across state lines. Federal prosecutors reportedly requested 16 months in prison, while the defense called for probation.
