GDOT Spearheading Savannah-to-Atlanta Passenger Rail Study

There are two ways to travel direct from Savannah to Atlanta―a roughly four-hour road trip or pricy plane ride. But now the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is studying a connection between the two cities via passenger rail, and initial public input has begun on the project.

Georgians can provide feedback through an online survey on the need for an Atlanta-to-Savannah rail line, as well as give suggestions on potential routes and stops within the study corridor.
