Mayor Van R. Johnson, II to Honor Savannah Native and Super Bowl Champion Nolan Smith, Jr.

The City of Savannah and Mayor Van R. Johnson, II will recognize Savannah native and Super Bowl Champion, Philadelphia Eagles Outside Linebacker Nolan Smith, Jr., in a special ceremony on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 2:45 p.m. at Southbridge Savannah Golf Club (415 Southbridge Boulevard, Savannah, GA 31405).
This event will take place during Nolan Smith, Jr.’s Charity Golf Tournament, presented by the Nolan Smith Foundation, which is dedicated to uplifting youth and fostering positive community development. The press conference will celebrate Smith’s remarkable achievements in the NFL, his contributions to Savannah, and his commitment to philanthropy through his foundation.

Johnson, II. “We are proud to celebrate his accomplishments and the impact he continues to make both on and off the field.”
Smith played a pivotal role in the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl victory as a standout athlete and has remained dedicated to empowering young athletes and fostering educational opportunities through his foundation. The Nolan Smith Foundation focuses on youth development, mentorship, and community outreach, ensuring the next generation has the support and resources to succeed.
