Senior Citizens Inc. Announces 2025 Legends, Leaders, and Life Well-Lived Awardees

Senior Citizens Inc. (SCI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people age successfully, is pleased to announce the 2025 recipients of the Legends, Leaders, and Life Well Lived Award. This award honors people who contributed significantly to their community, inspired others by the difference they have made, and exemplifies a life well lived.
The 2025 honorees are:

Dr. Otis S. Johnson – A trailblazing leader, educator, and former Savannah mayor, Dr. Johnson has dedicated his life to civil rights, social justice, and lifting up marginalized communities.

Camille O’Neill – A devoted educator and community pillar, Mrs. O’Neill has nurtured countless students and built a legacy of love and service in Savannah.

John A. White, Sr. – A World War II veteran who served in the Marines, Mr. White is a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor and one of “The Original Nine”, the first African-American police officers in Savannah. His courage, leadership, and service continue to inspire generations.
All three honorees will be honored at the Legends, Leaders and Life Well Lived Luncheon on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at The Palmetto Club at The Landings. The event is chaired by Jenny O’Sako, partner and client advisor with Sterling Seacrest Pritchard, and the luncheon is presented by The Kole Family.
“Our mission is to help people age successfully and we want everyone to have a life well lived. This luncheon will celebrate three outstanding individuals who are living life to the fullest and serve as examples to us all,” said Patti Lyons, President of SCI.
