WHO/WHAT: Bethesda Academy, the oldest child-care institution in the United States and an independent private day school for boys and young men in grades six through twelve, is holding a weekend-long celebration to commemorate its 285th anniversary.

This 285th anniversary weekend celebrates its legacy with an awards ceremony, two alumni events, and an open house for prospective families. The inaugural “Fastest Man at Bethesda” Race highlights the school’s commitment to health and fitness, featuring top student-athletes competing for a wristwatch and cash prizes. Recent upgrades to the campus include a new athletics field, additional athletic facilities, and a new vocational training lab for CNC (Computer Numerical Control) manufacturing.
