Final Field Set for Eighth Playing of the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club

Tournament officials announced today the final field for the eighth playing of the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club. The world-class field of 156 players is headlined by the strongest field strength of the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour season.

The Club Car Championship kicks off this week in Savannah, GA, at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club – Deer Creek Course.

Tickets for the Club Car Championship can be purchased at clubcarchampionshipattlc.com/tickets. Several ticket options are available. Daily tickets start at $10, and kids 17 and under receive free grounds access with a ticketed adult. In addition, the tournament is proud to offer free admission to all approved Active Duty, National Guard, Military Reserve Service Members, Military Retirees, Military Veterans and First Responders.

FIELD HIGHLIGHTS 

  • This week's Official World Golf Ranking strength of field is 91.73, surpassing the Astara Golf Championship presented by Mastercard as the strongest field this season (91.46). Four players are inside the top 200 of the Official World Golf Ranking: No. 114 Kensei Hirata, No. 171 Johnny Keefer, No. 179 Pierceson Coody, No. 195 Justin Suh.

  • Three past champions are in the field this week: T.J. Vogel (2022), Evan Harmeling (2020) and Dan McCarthy (2019).

    • The four past champions not in the field are four-time PGA TOUR winner Sam Burns (2018), TOUR winner Adam Svensson(2021), three-time Korn Ferry Tour winner, David Skinns (2023), and PGA TOUR rookie Steven Fisk (2024). Fisk, Burns, Svensson and Skinns are all playing this week on the PGA TOUR’s Valero Texas Open.

    • Burns won the 2023 World Golf Championship-Dell Technologies Match Play, bringing his total PGA TOUR victories to five.

    • Svensson won the 2022 RSM Classic and has collected three Korn Ferry Tour victories.

  • Five players in the field played collegiately in the state of Georgia:

    • Georgia Tech (Seth Reeves, Ross Steelman, Richy Werenski)

    • Georgia (Trent Phillips)

    • University of North Georgia (Hughes Threlkeld)

  • Additional players with local/regional ties to the area include: Dawson Armstrong (born in Valdosta, Georgia), Parker Gillam (St. Simons Island, Georgia resident), Emilio Gonzalez (St. Simons Island, Georgia resident), Billy Kennerly (plays from Alpharetta, Georgia), Bryson Nimmer (plays from Okatie, South Carolina), Shad Tuten (born in Augusta, Georgia), Dalton Ward (St. Simons Island, Georgia resident).

  • 17-year-old professional Blades Brown makes his Korn Ferry Tour debut this week at the Club Car Championship as a sponsor exemption. Brown, a Nashville, Tennessee native, has made five starts on the PGA TOUR this season with one made cut. Brown finished T34 at the Mexico Open at VidanataWorld. The young professional made one start on TOUR during the 2024 season, finishing T26 at the Myrtle Beach Classic for the best result of his career.

  • Savannah, Georgia native Hughes Threlkeld will make his Korn Ferry Tour debut as a sponsor exemption this week. A graduate of Savannah’s Benedictine Military School, Threlkeld plays collegiately at University of North Georgia.

  • Field includes 56 past Korn Ferry Tour winners with 80 total wins, led by Robby Shelton with four.

  • Field includes 22 past PGA TOUR winners with 42 total victories, led by Ben Crane & Nick Watney with five.

  • Field includes all six winners from this season: Hank Lebioda, Sudarshan Yellamaraju, Josh Teater, Kyle Westmoreland, Justin Suh and Logan McAllister.
