Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement to Host Spring Break Extravaganza in Daffin Park

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Monday, April 7th, 2025

The City of Savannah’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement (ONSE) will host a Spring Break Extravaganza on Saturday, April 5, offering a lineup of engaging activities designed to provide fun and meaningful opportunities for youth during spring break.

The event will feature a job and summer program fair, basketball activities, games, food, prizes, and more aimed at keeping youth actively engaged with positive experiences. This free event is open to all Savannah youth.

The mission of ONSE is to enhance public safety by reducing gun violence among Savannah’s youth and young adults. The office works to identify and engage individuals at risk, whether as victims or perpetrators, by connecting them with alternative resources and support.

Through partnerships, programs, and community engagement, ONSE takes a collaborative, citywide approach to violence prevention and intervention. By fostering community collaboration, supporting key programs, and connecting residents with valuable resources, ONSE continues to play a vital role in building a safer Savannah.
