Monday, April 14th, 2025
The Savannah Challenger, a premier professional tennis event hosted by the Landings Golf & Athletic Club at the Franklin Creek Tennis Center on Skidaway Island, is returning for its 15th anniversary this April 21-27. This tournament is part of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Challenger series, a United States Tennis Association (USTA) Pro Circuit event that brings some of the world’s finest tennis players to Savannah. This year’s Savannah Challenger is presented by Stifel Barrow Lane Phillips Advisory Team. Tickets are now on sale starting at $25 a day, and ticket packages for the week are also available for $175.
The week-long tournament will host a full field of professional singles and doubles players that are recognized globally with rankings ranging from 100-300. The Challenger series is an international circuit of approximately 150 tournaments located in more than 40 countries. Up-and-coming players gain valuable experience at ATP Challenger tournaments while competing for prize money and world ranking. There will be three courts with singles and doubles action for spectator viewing.
The Savannah Challenger will feature a variety of experiences throughout the week for ticket holders to enjoy, including the new Landings food truck, 59 ATE, The Tiki Bar, The Challenger Chill Zone on Court 4, and a Ladies’ Day shopping experience. Ladies’ Day, which occurs on Wednesday, April 23, offers shopping with a range of quality vendors from 9 a.m. until lunchtime, followed by great food and drink and matches starting later that morning into the early evening.
“It is truly an honor to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Savannah Challenger,” said Rhegan White-Clemm, Savannah Challenger Tournament Chair. “Reaching this milestone is a testament to the incredible players, passionate fans, incredible volunteers, and dedicated sponsors who come together for the love of the game and make it all possible.”
Past contestants of the Challenger include well-known names in the world of professional tennis such as Daniel Medvedev, Nick Kyrgios, Kei Nishikori, Jack Sock, Tommy Paul, Arthur Fils, and Denis Shapovalov, to name a few. The Savannah Challenger player roster for the 15th season will be published the first week of April.
