Flannery O’Connor Childhood Home to Host Peacock Guild Reading

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Monday, June 9th, 2025

WHAT: The Flannery O’Connor Childhood Home (FOCCH), a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the legacy of one of the South’s greatest writers, invites you to hear original poetry, fiction, and essays by the local writers of the 2024-2025 Peacock Guild, a writers salon that meets in the Flannery O'Connor Childhood Home. For more than a decade, aspiring and seasoned writers have met to read from their works-in-progress, give and receive critical feedback, and build a community with fellow storytellers. Poets, memoirists, authors, playwrights, and journalists often make up the eclectic group. Guests will have the opportunity to hear more about this unique writing group. Applications for next year’s cohort will open on July 1. Interested writers may find more information and the application to apply at www.flanneryoconnorhome.org/peacockguild
