This year marks a remarkable milestone for the YMCA of Coastal Georgia: 170 years of faith, service, and strengthening community. In honor of this enduring legacy, the Y will host a Prayer Breakfast on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM. The event will take place at the Fellowship Hall of Independent Presbyterian Church, located at 207 Bull Street, Savannah, GA.

The breakfast will bring together community members, Y staff, faith leaders, and supporters for a morning of fellowship, reflection, and gratitude. Guests will enjoy an inspiring keynote address from Marcus Johnson, Lead Pastor of Compassion Christian Church. Johnson brings 15 years of ministry experience and a deep connection to the Savannah community.

Joel Smoker, President/CEO of the YMCA of Coastal Georgia, reflected on this significant anniversary, stating, “For 170 years, the YMCA of Coastal Georgia has stood beside our neighbors, guided by faith and committed to service. This breakfast is a celebration of the generations of lives touched and the bright future ahead.”
