Low Country Grit Launches Full E-Commerce Experience with Debut Collections from Local Artists and Mission-Driven Partnerships
Friday, July 18th, 2025
Low Country Grit, a bold new online retail brand based in Savannah, proudly announces the official launch of its complete e-commerce site at lowcountrygrit.com. The platform features original apparel and outdoor accessories designed in collaboration with local artists. A portion of every sale supports nonprofit organizations and community causes across the Low Country.
The new online shop offers a wide range of products, including activewear, women’s and youth apparel, t-shirts, tumblers, and outdoor gear—all thoughtfully curated to reflect the heart and soul of Southern tenacity. More than just a store, Low Country Grit is a mission-driven movement blending style, storytelling, and social impact.
“At Low Country Grit, we believe in shopping with purpose,” said Alexa Frame, founder of the brand. “Every collection is an opportunity to celebrate local art, elevate community causes, and give back to the region we love. It’s about creating products with meaning—and making waves that matter. We launched with a special, curated collection featuring our very own local artist, Macey Rewis of Salted Souls Gallery, which benefits the Tybee Island Marine Science Center. We also have two new Artist Collaborations dropping soon!”
A Brand Rooted in Purpose and Place
Low Country Grit partners with homegrown artists and mission-aligned causes to design high-quality, community-inspired products. Each piece in the shop is a reflection of the region’s grit, creativity, and character, and every purchase contributes to a brighter, more connected Low Country community.
One highlight of the launch is the debut of the Salted Souls Collection, a collaboration with Savannah-based artist Macey Rae Lewis of Salted Souls Gallery. The collection benefits the Tybee Island Marine Science Center, combining coastal-inspired artwork with a mission to protect and preserve Georgia’s precious and vulnerable shoreline. The collection captures the spirit of island life while supporting environmental education and conservation efforts.
Featured on Morning Break, the Collaboration was highlighted at the Tybee Island Marine Science Center, where artist Macey Rewis painted for participants. The collection, featuring Macey’s original painting of Ike- TIMSC’s very first rescued and released terrapin friend, can also be purchased in their very own retail shop found on the North Beach of Tybee Island.
Giving Back, Built In
As part of its mission, Low Country Grit allows customers to add donations at checkout, contributions that go directly to the nonprofit partners featured in each collection. The site also showcases Contributors to the brand, as well as Do-Good Ambassadors, a growing community of creators, volunteers, and advocates who amplify the brand’s purpose and connect culture with community.
“These ambassadors are the heart of the movement,” Frame added. “They help us bridge the gap between fashion and impact, turning everyday purchases into acts of good.”
