Blessingdales Thrift Shop Expands to Second Location with Ribbon-Cutting Celebration
Monday, September 22nd, 2025
Blessingdales Thrift Shop officially expanded to an additional location in Georgetown with a grand opening ceremony on Wednesday, September 16. Hosted by The Living Vine Maternity Home, the event drew community leaders, supporters and families, including Chatham County Commissioner Pat Farrell and representatives from the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce.
Among those participating in the ribbon-cutting lineup was a mother and her three-week-old baby, who are current residents of The Living Vine’s maternity home. Proceeds from Blessingdales directly support the nonprofit’s mission to provide housing, resources and hope for women in crisis pregnancies.
“This expansion is more than just a new storefront — it’s about empowering women who have chosen life,” said Dawn Rodriguez, newly appointed executive director of The Living Vine. “The women we serve are making courageous decisions, and Blessingdales allows us to walk alongside them, providing provision, protection and preparation for their futures.”
The new Georgetown location joins the current Blessingdales store, located at 6 Television Circle, in offering gently used clothing, furniture, housewares and more, with all proceeds benefiting The Living Vine’s programs. Community members are encouraged to donate gently used items to support the mission.
Blessingdales store hours are:
821 King George Blvd. (Georgetown location): Monday–Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
6 Television Circle (Savannah location): Monday–Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
