The City of Savannah proudly announces the return of its annual 912 Day celebration, themed “You Make Us Fly.” This year’s campaign honors the residents, community partners and city leadership who drive Savannah forward. The week-long celebration highlights a city grounded in pride, elevated by progress and powered by purpose.

The celebration will begin with a 912 Day Kickoff Press Conference, hosted by the City of Savannah on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 10 a.m. at Savannah City Hall, located at 2 East Bay Street. 

“912 Day is our opportunity to honor the spirit of collaboration that defines the world's greatest city, Savannah,” said Mayor Van R. Johnson II. “Our theme, ‘You Make Us Fly,’ perfectly captures how our residents, businesses, and community partners lift each other. This year's lineup of events, all led by local organizations, reflects the meaning of Savannah Strong.”

"912 Day embodies the goals of our Savannah GPS Strategic Plan by fostering community partnerships, supporting local businesses, and ensuring a high standard of service for all,” said City Manager Jay Melder. “This celebration highlights the collaborative spirit of our residents, businesses, and City leadership, while demonstrating our commitment to transparency, equity, and progress."

This year’s celebration expands to include immersive experiences and community-driven events designed to unite all who love Savannah and deepen appreciation for the city’s charm, history and future.

As part of the festivities, the city will host the “9 Days of 912” Scavenger Hunt. Residents and visitors can follow clues, share their discoveries on social media and compete for prizes.

In addition, several partners will host events and activities to inspire and engage the community. Highlights include a 912 Block Beautification led by Amazon, exclusive Xfinity Savannah store activations, and entertainment events that foster connection and community pride.
