The Savannah Downtown Business Association (SDBA), in partnership with Comcast Business, Xfinity, and the City of Savannah, hosted the "Taste of 912" Event at the Charles H. Morris Center as part of 912 Week, an annual celebration of the Savannah community.

Mayor Van Johnson II delivered the keynote address, honoring the strength and unity of Savannah’s downtown business community, and Comcast Business presented two community awards:

“The Taste of 912 Luncheon was an incredible celebration of Savannah’s dynamic business community, where the strength and creativity of local small businesses truly shined,” said Mike Thibodeaux, Vice President of Comcast Business for the Big South Region. “It was an honor to join more than 150 business owners and community leaders for this powerful showcase. We’re especially proud to have celebrated Chris Hargett, a senior technician with nearly 20 years of service, who is from Savannah and represents the very best of the region. We are thankful to the City of Savannah and the Savannah Downtown Business Association for welcoming us and for the opportunity to sponsor such an inspiring event.”

More than 150 guests enjoyed tastings from a wide range of local restaurants and food and beverage partners, including: Rhino Hospitality Group, River Street Sweets, Simple Soul Savannah, Common Restaurant, Trombone Bakery, Coca-Cola, Spanky’s River Street, Dub’s Pub, Dr. Farm Organic Juices, The Pirates’ House, Latin Chicks, Mint to Be Mojito, Zunzibar, Plant Riverside District, and Pour Boy Coffee.
