Savannah Stands with CURE Childhood Cancer This September

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Tuesday, September 9th, 2025

This September, Savannah shines gold in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The community is rallying behind CURE Childhood Cancer, the only organization dedicated to providing comprehensive support to local children and families battling this devastating disease.

CURE goes beyond offering financial and emotional assistance by also raising critical funds specifically for pediatric oncology research. This research brings hope for a future where no child has to face cancer.

"We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming response from Savannah's business community," said Mandy Garola, Vice President of CURE, South Georgia. "Their generosity and unwavering support are a testament to the strength of our city. Together, we are making a profound impact on the lives of children battling cancer."

Throughout September, numerous local businesses will be joining the fight. They will host special events, offer themed products and donate proceeds to CURE Childhood Cancer.
