Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Tuesday, September 16th, 2025

The Town of Thunderbolt invites the community to

experience an unforgettable evening of music, sunsets, and river views at the first-ever

Golden Hour Jazz on the Bluff, happening Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 5 p.m.

This free community event will showcase the incredible talent of the Savannah State

University Jazz Band, bringing smooth jazz to one of Thunderbolt’s most scenic

riverfront spots. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, snacks, and

beverages to relax and soak in the golden-hour ambiance along the bluff.

In addition to the live music, local favorites will enhance the evening:

Tubby’s Tank House Thunderbolt will offer to-go dinner and drink specials,

perfect for enjoying picnic-style during the concert.

Savannah Square Pops will be on-site with refreshing handcrafted popsicles.

“Golden Hour Jazz on the Bluff is about bringing people together in a beautiful setting

to celebrate community and culture,” said Dana Williams, Mayor of Thunderbolt. “With

the backdrop of the river, the sounds of Savannah State’s jazz musicians, and

neighbors gathered outdoors, it’s a special experience you won’t want to miss.”
