Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Tuesday, October 7th, 2025

Coastal Heritage Society will present its annual “Frogwarts: A Magical Adventure!” at Georgia State Railroad Museum and Savannah Children’s Museum on Sunday, October 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The “Harry Potter” themed event blends hands-on science with fantasy, offering STEAM-based activities disguised as wizarding classes. Guests can craft wooden wands with the Lowcountry Turners, meet animals with Callaway Critters and Georgia Southern Center for Wildlife Education, and enjoy treats from a variety of food vendors.

Other activities include potion making, herbology, fortune telling, quill writing, glow-in-the-dark fun, muggle studies, and Quidditch. Guests can even take a ride on the museum’s own Frogwarts Express locomotive.

“We enjoy hosting this enchanting event every year,” said CHS CEO Nora Lee. “It is a fun way for kids and grown-ups to explore science, history, and creativity together.”

“Frogwarts: A Magical Adventure!” is sponsored by Colonial Group, Inc., the Lesher Family Foundation, and Dogwood Pediatric Dentistry.

Tickets for this event are $15 for CHS members and $17 for nonmembers and are available at bit.ly/Frogwarts2025.
