Pearson Farm Peach Week Events Raise $22,180 For CURE Childhood Cancer

Pearson Farm, a fifth-generation peach and pecan farm in Fort Valley, Georgia, along with dozens of restaurants across the state, raised $22,180 for CURE Childhood Cancer during Savannah Peach Week, Atlanta Peach Week, and Atlanta PeachFest.
Peach Week was established first in Savannah in 2022 as a city-wide culinary celebration of Georgia’s signature fruit to benefit CURE and expanded to Atlanta in 2024. Joining forces with PeachFest in 2025 not only continued this momentum of Peach Week Atlanta but also provided additional donation sources for CURE.
“It has been wonderful to watch Peach Week grow over the years because it is, genuinely, the best of all worlds for us,” said Kyle Barfield of Pearson Farm. “Partnering with restaurants we love to support the important work of CURE Childhood Cancer–it’s an easy yes for Pearson Farm.”
For each event, Pearson Farm donates pallets of peaches across all of the participating restaurants. Chefs and mixologists then create peach-centric dishes and cocktails, which are sold specifically to benefit CURE. As the only organization providing financial and emotional support to local children and families while raising research funds for pediatric oncology, CURE Childhood Cancer is a vital organization for Georgia families.
“We are deeply grateful for Pearson Farm and the way Peach Week transforms something as simple and joyful as peaches into life-changing impact,” CURE CEO Kristin Connor said. “Their support directly helps children fighting cancer and eases the strain on families walking through the hardest days of their lives.”
In its third year, Savannah Peach Week, June 25-28, doubled in size, raising $10,706, with 21 restaurant partners including Ardsley Station, Vic’s on the River, Flora & Fauna and more, and the annual peach sale on June 28 capped off the fundraiser with an additional $5,173 raised. For the second year in a row, Brochu’s Family Tradition took home the people’s choice award with their Peach Buttermilk Pie with Peach Whipped Cream.
“Peach Week is a great opportunity to highlight local produce while supporting the important mission of Cure Childhood Cancer. Pearson Farm does an excellent job coordinating the event and fostering friendly competition among local businesses,” Sophie Brochu said. “Each year, we choose to support a few organizations that align with our values and make a meaningful impact on the world. This is one of them.”
In Atlanta, from July 21-26, the 23 Peach Week participants raised $4,669 while showcasing the city’s vast culinary scene–from baked goods at Little Tart Bakeshop, specialty dishes at ENZO Steakhouse and Bar and peach-centric cocktails at Miller Union. Firepit Pizza & Tavern’s Peach Serrano Wings earned them the people’s choice dish in their Peach Week debut.
“Being a part of the community is what Firepit and Birdcage are all about, so to be able to participate in a charitable event with so many of our peers only made sense,” said Firepit Pizza & Tavern Executive Chef Shaun Whitmer. “Especially when that event includes the juiciest of all the fruits!”
To wrap up Atlanta’s celebration, PeachFest–Atlanta’s premier tasting event celebrating all-things-Pearson Farm peaches–drew hundreds to Peach Center July 27. Through a silent auction, PeachFest raised $1,632.50 for CURE Childhood Cancer.
