The Savannah Downtown Business Association (SDBA) and Visit Savannah are proud to announce their continued commitment to public art and cultural vibrancy with a $1,500 check presentation to Georgia Plein Air in support of the PaintQuick artist live painting event happening this Friday, October 17, from 4–7:30 PM in Ellis Square.

This exciting, fast-paced outdoor painting competition invites artists from across Georgia and right here in Savannah to capture the beauty of the city in real time. The public is invited to attend, watch the artists at work, cheer them on, and even purchase artwork fresh off the easel. By investing in arts, events, and culture, the Savannah Downtown Business Association and Visit Savannah are helping to reclaim one of the city’s most beloved squares. Their support helps create a vibrant downtown for residents, the business community, and visitors to enjoy.

Artists ages 16 and up are invited to participate for just $25, while youth 15 and under can register for free. Registration and event details are available at www.savannahdba.com. The PaintQuick event is part of the larger Georgia Color Plein Air Competition, taking place October 14–19, 2025, with an accompanying art exhibition open to the public at 2123 East Victory Drive.
