CCRPI Scores Show Mixed Results for SCCPSS Schools
Friday, November 14th, 2025
On Wednesday, November 12th, the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) released the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) scores for school year (SY) 2025. The CCRPI includes five components: Content Mastery, Progress, Closing Gaps, Readiness, and – for high schools – Graduation Rate. Results were mixed for SCCPSS schools.
SCCPSS achieved gains over last year in elementary grades Content Mastery, middle grades Readiness, and high school Readiness. Elementary Content Mastery improved by 1.5 points; middle grades Readiness increased by 0.1 points, and high school Readiness rose by 3.1 points.
Content Mastery in the middle and high school grade bands declined by 0.6 and 3.1 points, respectively, and elementary Readiness decreased by 0.2 points. SCCPSS Progress scores declined in each grade band, with the greatest loss occurring in the middle grade band.
Although the 4-Year Cohort Graduation Rate improved from SY2024 to SY2025, the SY2025 CCRPI Graduation Rate declined slightly due to the impact of the 5-Year Extended Cohort Graduation Rate.
The district performed below the state in all components within the elementary and middle grade bands but outperformed the state in high school Progress and Graduation Rate.
SCCPSS also outperformed the comparison group of similar districts in Content Mastery at the elementary and high school levels; in Progress at the high school level; and in Readiness within every grade band.
Fifty-seven percent (57%) of SCCPSS schools met or exceeded the state in one or more components. The vast majority of schools (80%) improved in at least one CCRPI component, and just over half made gains or maintained 100 in multiple components.
CCRPI scores are used to identify Comprehensive Support & Improvement (CSI) and Targeted Support & Improvement (TSI) schools which receive additional state support. TSI schools will be identified later this year using 2025 data. CSI schools are served for three years and will next be identified using 2026 data.
The Content Mastery component includes student scores on statewide assessments in English Language Arts (ELA), mathematics, science, and social studies while the Readiness component includes the percentage of students at or above grade-level reading, student attendance, the percentage of students succeeding in “beyond the core” instruction, accelerated enrollment, pathway completion, and college and career readiness measures. Graduation Rate includes both the four- and five-year graduation rates.
