Additional event highlights will include hands-on art activities led by Salacia Salts and Savannah Technical College’s Historic Preservation Program as well as a collaborative community art project led by Calvin Thomas that will invite participants of all ages to contribute to a shared work of art.

In addition, the award-winning Davenport House Museum will be open for exploration, free of charge, and will offer special opportunities and interactive activities designed to connect the house’s history with Savannah’s arts community.

“The Davenport House Museum Fall Arts Festival will highlight the enduring role that artisans have played in Savannah, from the early craftsmen who built homes and public buildings in the colony’s early days to today’s thriving creative community,” said Danielle Hodes, Executive Director at the Davenport House Museum. “We warmly invite everyone to join us on Saturday, November 8 for a fun day filled with art, history and community.”

The Davenport House Museum Fall Arts Festival is made possible by the generous sponsorship of Garbutt Construction, a local construction company that is currently completing the Davenport House’s first major exterior restoration since 1993.
