Union Mission to Serve 500 Thanksgiving Meals to those in Need
Friday, November 21st, 2025
In the spirit of the holidays, Union Mission will serve hot to-go meals to families and individuals experiencing homelessness on Wednesday, November 26th from 11:00am – 1:00pm at Union Mission’s administrative parking lot at 125 Fahm Street. This event is free and open to the public.
Union Misson’s Thanksgiving Meal is made possible through the generosity of local partners Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation and Sodexo including the dedication of over 30 volunteers. Together, they are creating a welcoming environment where people can enjoy a hot meal, access to free clothing and on-site healthcare clinics, housing and employment resources, and food bag distributions provided by a coalition of partners such as J.C. Lewis Healthcare, Compassion Christian Church, and the Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless.
“Union Mission’s Thanksgiving Meal is more than just a holiday event – it’s a powerful demonstration of Savannah’s compassion, resilience, and commitment to lifting up neighbors in need” said Michael Traynor, Union Mission President & CEO. “Through food, fellowship, and essential services, the community comes together to make a lasting difference.”
Union Mission encourages the community to get involved not just during the holidays, but throughout the year inspiring ongoing action. Every contribution – large or small – helps build a more compassionate and supportive community.
