Wednesday, January 21st, 2026
The Davenport House – an iconic c. 1820 property owned and operated by Historic Savannah Foundation – will host a free Family Day event on Sunday, January 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the award-winning house museum, located at 324 E. State St. on Columbia Square in Savannah’s Landmark District. This event, which is presented with sponsorship support from the City of Savannah, will focus on early Savannah’s Historic Trades, offering creative activities and hands-on learning opportunities for adults and children of all ages.
The January 25th Family Day at the Davenport House will feature hands-on craft stations, including embroidery, leatherwork and historic printmaking as well as live woodturning demonstrations. As attendees explore the museum grounds, they’ll encounter artisans, music and engaging activities that bring the working world of the past to life.
“We’re thrilled to offer free, interactive, family-friendly activities at the Davenport House Museum on January 25th and to celebrate Savannah’s historic trades,” said Danielle Hodes, Executive Director at the Davenport House Museum. “We invite everyone to join us for our upcoming Family Day event as we share Savannah’s rich history with local residents and visitors of all ages.”
