Savannah Airport Master Plan Renovation Projects Could Lead to Losing Some ‘Southern Charm’

The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport’s growth was projected more than 10 years ago, but now, airport leaders warn some of the expansions and renovations underway could cause the airport to lose some of its southern charm, which people are used to.

It’s not meant to sound scary, but it’s meant to show that the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is no longer viewed as a “small” airport, but one that is keeping up with the entire region’s growth. Elements of the iconic airport will remain after renovations and expansions, but some of the “feel” people expect when they land or take off could change.
