SCCPSS To Launch Community Survey to Help Plan for the Future

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Tuesday, January 20th, 2026

Beginning January 20, the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS) is inviting students, families, staff, and community members to share feedback through the Strategic Plan Stakeholder Survey, an important first step in creating a new strategic plan that will guide priorities, investments, and programs through 2031, grounded in the voices, experiences, and aspirations of those we serve.

“This is our opportunity to challenge the status quo, think boldly about what is possible, and shape a future that reflects our highest aspirations for students and schools,” said Dr. Denise Watts, Superintendent of SCCPSS. “I am excited to lead this work, and I cannot do it without your voice.”

Survey feedback will help SCCPSS identify what the District should protect, what it should strengthen, and where it must be willing to do things differently to better serve students, staff, and families. Responses will help inform the priorities that will guide SCCPSS over the next five years and shape how the District approaches programs, investments, and support.

Sharing your feedback is easy, responses are confidential, and the survey takes about 30 minutes to complete. The survey will be available on the District website beginning January 20 and it will close on February 2, 2026.
