Wednesday, January 21st, 2026
Telfair Museums is launching its 19th annual PULSE Art and Technology festival on January 22. The highly anticipated PULSE Art and Technology festival once again presents a dynamic lineup of exhibits, showcases, and lectures designed to explore the intersection of creativity and innovation. The three-day event will feature the work of acclaimed artists, curators, and technologists, including a centerpiece installation by Dr. Bojana Ginn.
“I am excited to show at a such a historic venue,” said Ginn. “I look forward to having audiences experience and interact with my work because it needs the public to be complete.”
The upcoming PULSE Art and Technology festival will showcase innovative works from several talented local artists. Kicking off the event is Bojana Ginn and her new interactive installation, Biometric Sublime. This unique exhibit translates the rhythms of the human body into a dynamic, living ecosystem of art.
The installation features a biometric sensor that amplifies a viewer's presence, transforming each heartbeat into an evolving visual expression. The experience also incorporates sculptural elements crafted from organic materials like sheep's wool and jute, which blend with synthetic components to echo powerful themes of renewal and healing. The artist describes this experience as an "aesthetic environment of well-being—intimate, futuristic, and profoundly human."
Director of Education and Senior Curator at Telfair Museums, Harry DeLorme, said, “We are pleased to show the work of Bojana Ginn, who is creating a therapeutic environment that responds to the heartbeat of the viewer. We are also excited to highlight the work of Savannah area artists who have incorporated video, AI, and other techniques into amazing works.”
DeLorme continued, “PULSE isn’t like anything else in Savannah, and we look forward to welcoming the community back to experience these artworks at the Jepson Center.”
The festival also features The Body Electric, a curated selection of projects by various Savannah-based artists working with video, AI, and interactivity. Featured artists include Joshua Alexander, Michael Betancourt, James Gladman, Melissa Huang, Antonia B. Larkin, Ned Shoai, Maia Storm, Lisa Watson and others.
The PULSE Art and Technology festival’s schedule is packed with exhibits, showcases, lectures, and activities for the family to enjoy.
Opening Night: Thursday, January 22 at 5:30 p.m. The festival kicks off with a reception, the unveiling of two new PULSE exhibitions, a VJ performance by the Medeology Collective, and projections by Diana Reichenbach, Melissa Huang, and Michael Betancourt, and a 6:15 lecture by Bojana Ginn.

Saturday, January 24: The festival wraps up with activities designed for all ages, including a Free Family Day for local residents from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and a featured 3 p.m. performance by the Tybee Ballet Theater.
DeLorme said, “STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) education for children and families has been an essential part of PULSE since its beginnings in 2007. Over the years, thousands of people of all ages have had their first experiences with creative tech through PULSE. This is one of the few events of its kind that includes free programming for students and families as well as unforgettable evening events for adults.”
PULSE is an annual festival dedicated to showcasing the latest trends and innovations in digital art, interactive installations, and technology-focused creative practices. The event aims to foster dialogue between artists, scientists, and the community, offering unique educational and cultural experiences in Savannah, GA.
