Kilwins Officially Opens First Location in Savannah just Before Valentine's Day
Thursday, February 12th, 2026
Kilwins has officially opened its first location in Savannah at 205 West Congress Street across from Ellis Square, just in time for Valentines Day. While Kilwins has nearly 80 years of history, it is new to Savannah and already becoming a part of the community. The new store had a soft opening in December and celebrated its official grand opening with a ribbon cutting on February 11.
“We’re very excited to be a part of the Savannah community,” Sylvia Pflum, Owner/Franchisee, of Kilwins in Savannah, said. “Like you, we value treasured customer experiences, good food, and special gathering places. Our Savannah team is focused on creating genuine hospitality and ensuring that each guest feels welcome and has a personal, memorable experience.”
Stepping into Kilwins is truly an experience. What really makes Kilwins special is how people feel when they walk in—it’s about joy, tradition, and shared experiences. The art of making Mackinac Island Fudge is unique to Kilwins, and customers are in for a treat as they can watch the beloved fudge being made by hand right inside the store. Kilwins is also known for their hand-crafted chocolates, including chocolate-covered strawberries, truffles, and Dubai chocolate; pralines; caramel corn; and freshly-made waffle cones featuring ice cream with unique flavors like Sea Salt Caramel, Mackinac Island Fudge, and of course Georgia Peach.
Sylvia added that “Kilwins is also committed to giving back to the community. From creating meaningful jobs to supporting local events, hosting school tours, and more, we strive to be woven into the fabric of the community.”
Kilwins was founded by Katy and Don Kilwin in Petoskey, Michigan in 1947. Over the years, the company has grown its presence across the U.S., and each location gives customers a remarkable experience. For more information about Kilwins, please go to kilwins.com.
