Savannah's Chatham Academy Rebrands as The Royce School

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Tuesday, February 17th, 2026

The Royce School today announced the launch of a unified brand identity and communication strategy designed to strengthen clarity for families, clinical providers, and community partners. This process brings all programs under one name and one mission, reflecting the school’s long‑standing commitment to supporting neurodiverse learners through evidence‑based, multisensory, and diagnostic instruction.

Founded in 1970, The Royce School serves more than 100 Savannah area students in grades K-12 with dyslexia, ADHD, higher-level spectrum profiles, anxiety‑related learning needs, and language‑based or processing challenges.

The new brand identity highlights the school’s specialized approach, small class sizes, and the structured teaching methods based on brain research, which build confidence and meaningful academic growth. With this foundation, Royce students successfully transition to a variety of educational and career pathways. They are excited and prepared to thrive in a wide range of settings, including neighborhood and regional schools, dual enrollment programs, trades, and beyond K‑12 education, with readiness for college and the workforce.

Learning Reimagined - For Every Child

“The unification of Chatham Academy and Royce Learning Center as The Royce School is an important step forward for our organization and our community. This unification brings clarity - making it easier to understand our mission and to more broadly communicate our school programs and resources, ” said Laci Culbreth, Head of School at The Royce School.

“Even after nearly 50 years of serving Savannah, many people are still unaware of the specialized services we offer, despite learning needs affecting up to 10% of the population. Our goal is to expand access to specialized schooling, tutoring, summer programs, and resources for students with specific learning needs. This simplification is essential to ensure more students and families receive the support they deserve.”

The Royce School partners with therapists, evaluators, and schools across the region, serving families from multiple counties and supporting students across academic and therapeutic settings. The new brand identity will be rolled out across the school’s website, print materials, and community communications throughout the coming months.
