Chatham County Declares “Visit Savannah Day” in Honor of 50th Anniversary

The Chatham County Commission officially declared last Friday, “Visit Savannah Day” in celebration of Visit Savannah’s 50th anniversary, recognizing five decades of leadership in growing the region’s visitor economy.

Visit Savannah President & CEO Joseph Marinelli, Chief Marketing Officer Angela Westerfield, Communications Director Erica Backus, and Director of Content and Brand Strategy Pam Knowles were on hand to proudly accept the proclamation on behalf of the organization and the hospitality community it represents.

The recognition highlights Visit Savannah’s longstanding role in promoting the destination, supporting local businesses, and helping tourism grow into one of the region’s most important economic drivers.
