Savannah Repertory Theatre Presents The White Chip in April
Friday, March 27th, 2026
The play follows Steven, a successful theatre director whose life spirals out of control as his alcoholism worsens, ultimately revealing the complicated and often non-linear path to healing.
With sharp wit, honesty, and emotional depth, The White Chip reminds audiences that connection — to ourselves, to others, and to our stories — is what sustains us through life’s most difficult challenges.
The Savannah Rep production stars Chad Darnell as Steven, with Rob Lawhon and Casey Bessette portraying the many characters Steven encounters along his journey. The play moves quickly through memory, storytelling, and direct address to the audience, blending humor and heartbreak as the actors shift between dozens of roles.
Playwright Sean Daniels is an award-winning theatre director, writer, and arts leader whose work has been produced nationwide. The White Chip premiered in Chicago and has since been produced at theatres across the United States, becoming one of the most widely produced contemporary plays about addiction and recovery.
The White Chip runs April 16–26 at Vintage Special Events Center, Savannah, GA. Tickets and more information are available at savannahrep.org or by calling the Box Office at 912-436-3629.
